Chromosome Tests

• Two different chromosome tests can be done.
• The National Screening Committee recommends that PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test alone is offered to women with a higher chance Down’s syndrome screening result.
• Some hospitals will offer a full karyotype test.
